Name: invasive species
Description: Invasive species are non-native species including plants, animals and microbes that are introduced into ecosystems where they do not naturally exist (usually by human activities) and where they cause major damage to those ecosystems. When species are freed from natural predators by being in another environment their numbers may expand rapidly, breed prolifically and displace native species. Damage from these species is estimated at $400 billion per year or 5% of the world’s GDP with considerable health effects
